Dr.'s Appointment
I got back a little while ago and I'm pretty pleased 
I'm 2.5 cm and 60% eff - LO's head is WAY down and "right there" according to Doc. He says he'd give it about a week (at the rate I'm going) and she'll be here!!! 
He also stripped my membranes 
not painfull but weird & uncomfortable. lol
My family is set on this Friday the 15th.......it's "The Moon" 
We'll see!

Very exciting Lisa! If your family is right and it's the 15th then I'm pretty sure your LO will be here before mine! My induction is set for the 17th and I highly doubt I'll go before then.
Or who knows, maybe or babies will end up sharing the same birthday! Exciting that it's so close either way!

I will never again have my membranes stripped. It totally did not work out well for me. I know you are excited for baby to get here - so hopefully that will get things moving for you.
I just saw that the 15th is a New Moon (DH and I were checking out for the Full Moon...which is not until the 30th).
This baby's head has been way down since about 35 weeks...and it's still a no show =( I also had my membranes stripped with Ruari, and it finally worked the second time. I hope it works better for you.
Imagine if all 3 of us give birth on the 15th?? That'd be too funny! I just had acupuncture done in hopes of it starting labour.
Glad the appointment went well and that you are progressing. Just relax and enjoy these last few weeks!
Oh and he stripped your membranes at 38w???
I had my membranes stripped on the Wednesday (I was two days shy of 40 weeks) and my water broke on Friday, my due date.

To be honest I didn't know he was going to do it until he WAS doing it!! I guess since I was already starting to get things going he was helping it move along quicker?? I don't know....is it a 'bad' thing?
I do know that he doesn't wait long for anything. My EDD is the 23rd - He'll book my induction for a few days later. He doesn't wait for the 42 wk mark like other Dr.'s....and I like that.
I've had 3 freinds all "use" him for their kids and it was the same thing with them aswell.

I have to say that it doens't bother me, EDD's are just that estimated and I was charting when we got the BFP and know for a fact that the Dr. is wrong with HIS dates. In MY 'math' my edd should be the 17th not 23rd....so trying to move things along now isn't too early for me. Everyone has their own wants/needs for L&D and mine are just to get her out. If it was today, I'd be happy! I'd rather want her out earlier than have to wait until 42wks. IMO
