hey ladies,
I'm thinking of getting rid of my Escape. I'm not the biggest fan of it. I want to get a vehicle that can carry 2 children with car seats and is great on gas.
TIA
Re: recommend your vehicle
I am a big fan of Mazda's. I currently have the Mazda 6 and love it. My only beef with them is that they seem to be behind in the Hybrid game so if they don't step it up soon my next vehicle will most likely be a Toyota or something German.
I have two civics that I?m pretty happy with. I don?t know if they would be large enough for a family car though. They are amazing on gas and aside from regular maintenance; I?ve never had to fix anything on them. One is a 99 and has almost 300Km on it and the other is 04.
My hubs drives a VW passat 3.2 four motion (equivalent to one of the Audi's (A6 maybe).... and I drive a VW Rabbit. I LOVE LOVE LOVE his passat with a love that is unnatural. My car is great. Lots of power, lots of room and a nice drive... but unfortunatly they're not making them this model year... they've beefed up the golf instead I think.
We are looking at the Toureg for our next car though... it comes very highly rated and recomended... and in Deisel.
I have an 09 Nissan Versa, it's really fab on gas, cheap, and has lots of passenger space. ?Friends of ours with a Pathfinder swear my car has more interior room in the back, I actually think they may be right. ?I'm not sure about loading up a trunk with things like strollers though.
I used to drive a Passat wagon, which I LOVED. ?Except for the whole falling apart at the seams thing that VWs can be very good at. ?(We've owned 4). ? I was able to carry full sheets of plywood inside it. ?Unreal how much space it had, but it broke our spirit and love for VWs. ?It just had too many problems in it's old age. ?
Mr. D owns a VW GTI (golf), it's okay on space, good on gas, and fun to drive.??
