Help with Shower location??

Hi Ladies!!

My baby shower is coming up and my sister is trying to plan this from out of town...I thought I would help her out a little bit, but I am stuck!

Anyone have a suggestion for a room to rent for a baby shower? I live in Florence, and my mother lives in West Chester, so anywhere in between is OK although I prefer it to be located down closer to Florence.

Looking for something cheap. I was thinking it would be nice to rent a small public park or municipal building room...main thing is keeping the cost down.

I don't know anyone in a condo or apt. to rent their community room.

Suggestions w/ cost??

I am not much help - sorry. I have been looking myself and didnt have much luck. I do know my girlfriends in Lexington typically have them at a restaurant party room. I am not sure if that is an option, but it usually works. Good luck!

you could try churchhill's tea room at Findlay Market. Other than that I have no ideas. We tend to have them at restaurants.

I'm sure you've already thought of this but what about at your house or someone elses house. Or even try a reception hall. Since it isn't wedding season you may be able to get a good deal on a Sunday morning.

Since you mentioned a community room...Newport on the Levee has a community room that you can rent for $50/75 (depending on which room you use). It's pretty nice, there is a small wet bar and plenty of tables and chairs. We use it for work meetings occasionally and bring in food (you have to get permission to do this, but we've never had a problem). Good luck!

any cute restaurants with private rooms?

I want mine in a tea room... which is a small shop that sells tea and small sandwiches/scones, etc.

I grew up in Orange County, CA. Will probably have it here....Its called some place in time tea room....

Most Panera locations have a 'community room' that you can reserve for private groups.

I'm not sure of the cost but Bonbonerie has a super charming tea room where you can host showers, not to mention their incredible cakes! I'd totally do it there if you have a small group (say under 20 people). GL!
