So I saw a post earlier that some of your H's were trying to make your babies left-handed or ambidextrous....
While we were on vacation, Vik noticed that my brother was left-handed at breakfast one morning and I believe his exact words were: "How are you left-handed?!" Lol. Um, easy, he uses his left hand ![]()
Then he asked: "Who decides which hand you will be?" Hahahahah. After much back and forth, my husband insisited that your dominant hand is decided at birth. So, now we have a running joke that babies are born with clenched fists and when you open them up, one hand (or both, if you're ambidextrous) has a star on it (if you can't see your star(s), it's okay, they fade within an hour of birth
) and that birth certificates includes names, dates and time of birth, parents names, and a big "right" or "left" stamp.

Re: Right or left handed?
I'm left handed and it's funny because Kevin asked in the hospital if they knew if Collin would be right or left handed. I just Laughed and said honey I love you but no we won't know for awahile. But I did tell him Lefty's are in the Right mind right LOL.
But we'll see it should be interesting because both my parents are lefty's and I'm the only lefty out of 4.
I'm the only lefty too! My Bro, sis, mom and dad are all rightys! I hope my son is lefty....almost every lefty i know holds true to the stereotype.. right mind, artistic, creative, etc.
This is too funny- Liam was showing signs of being a lefty early on, and my mom got so excited b/c she is the only lefty in the family. She sent him a postcard from SF at the lefty store (!) showing all the famous lefties... I really don't have a clue if he has a dominance yet.
BTW my mom claims she actually hopes Liam isn't a lefty b/c it is so hard to be a lefty- but I'm not sure I believe her!
DH and I are both rightys
My bro is a lefty but he throws/bats right-handed since my dad taught him and he was a righty ... everything else is lefty for him tho
Funny this came up because I had an 18 year old helper in my class today and she told me her dad forced her to become a lefty for no reason. As a baby, she'd pick things up with her right hand and he'd place it in her left. She says she does most things left handed but some with her right.
DH and I are both right handed.
My little sister was left handed as a little kid. I use to pull the crayon, pen or whatever she was trying to write with out of her and switch hands. I told her you will use our right hand to write. My brother was left handed and I insisted she was going to be like me. She uses her right hand now.
