You ladies are always so helpful I thought I would come to you with this question. I am having a couple of my friends over friday night for a wine tasting party...basically everyone is bringing a bottle of wine and we are going to try some new stuff. I need some reccommendations or recipes of some good appetizers to go with wine.
Re: Wine Tasting Party
I don't personally drink wine but this brie seems like it'd be a good pairing. Our dinner club friends scarfed it up alongside their wine so it must have been good together!

Oooh, interestingly enough between my personal food blog and my Dinner Club's blog we have recipes for all of those!

Ditto on the cheese tray with crackers. Depending on the number of people coming I would do a minimum of 4 types of cheese. Also an assortment of olives are great. With cheese trays I like to include a chutney of some sort. The chutney can be put on crackers by itself or on top of the cheese. It just allows for more combinations.
An easy appetizer that I like to make is a pear and blue cheese brioche. I buy cocktail bread (a dark bread) and toast them on a tray in the oven. Then spread a creamy blue cheese onto toast, top with a slice of pear, and drizzle with honey. I then like to sprinkle onto the honey toasted pumpkin seeds from fresh market but depending on your crowd they may or may not like this. This is very easy, no cooking, quick assembly but seems very ritzy.
