Just sayin' hello!

Hi ladies -

I've been lurking the past couple of months and posting here and there, but I am not at my unemployed-level of posting!  ;)  Just wanted to say hi to everyone and I still come on the board pretty much every day to say hello and check in and see what everyone is up to.

Some of you ladies are about ready to pop and I am so excited for all of you.  I feel like I know all of your due dates and trials and tribulations of TTCing and pregnancies and have traveled part of the journey with you.

Things are good with me -- my new job is CRAZY.  A real challenge, but I think that's what I really needed in my life.  I sometimes marvel at the fact that they are have really entrusted me with this fairly high-level position.  I am learning a ton although it's mostly going by in a whir.

We are loving our apartment in Brooklyn - it's the best location, near the water, near all subways, one stop from Manhattan.  I'm seriously thinking we should plan a nestie NYC gtg??

And: DH found out right before Christmas that he got a wonderful, hard-to-get fellowship, that will pay him a really good salary for three whole years for which he has to basically do nothing in return.  (He will still need to travel to Cambridge two nights a week, but only for 7 months out of the year)  Pretty neato, huh?  Things are definitely looking up for us compared to 4-6 months ago.  When things were really tough and I wasn't sure how we would get through it I feel like you were all really there for me and I wanted to say thanks!

ok - sorry for the ramble.  i just finally had a moment to write a 'real' post.  :)

  • haha no, unfortunately Sandy probably 75% of my office goes to Sundance and I'm the one that has to stay behind and run things while everyone is gone (and pay all of their bills!!)

Sundance is a huge event in my office, though.  we're hosting a party on Monday night there--it has a reputation as the "best" sundance party.  :)  have a great time!

  • Great to hear from you and I am so happy that things have worked out for you!
  • Great news Anna!  So happy to hear that things are looking up!  Congrats on kicking ass at your new job, and congrats to YH for the fellowship!  Living in Brooklyn with access to so much cool stuff sounds awesome.  Hope that with your new job you still have time to really enjoy city life!  Take care.  xoxo

  • Hey there!
