Spinning Ladies

Last night was the 2nd night that I did spin class in about 6 months, so I'm still trying to get back into shape. But my knees hurt pretty bad today, is it normal that your knees will hurt from spinning? I don't remember them hurting when I was doing it a lot last year?

Re: Spinning Ladies

  • Was your seat up too high or down too low?  Seat height is important--your leg should be *almost* straight at the bottom of your pedal stroke--not locked, but just barely bent.  Hurting knees are often a sign that it's not adjusted properly.  HTHs.

I think last night it may have been a little too low, so hopefully that is why they are bothering me today.

Knee pain and seat too low are synonymous (sp) with each other.  Raise it up a notch or two the next time you do it, and see if that helps.
