  • HELL YES!  I have been looking forward to that store coming to Brodie Lane!  It is so close to me... I LOVE Plato's Closet.  Can't wait for it to open.  Smile
  • I want to go check it out.  I have a cashmere sweater I'm going to take over there and see if they'll take it.  If it's anything like Buffalo, they are incredibly selective about what they take.  I get that it's not a Goodwill, but there were some things I was really surprised about at BE.
  • I've never been to BE, but some friends at work told me it is sort of different.  BE has some really high name brands and more weird, different stuff.  Like if you are looking for something really unique that nobody else will have, go to BE.  PC has more stuff from Express, American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale and Gap.  Decent stuff, but not super high end.  The jean selection is usually pretty good... but it all depends on the area the store is in.  I found a pair of 7 For All Mankind at a store in a nice part of Denver for $17!  So you really have to look.  I have noticed that they have more smaller sizes of clothes... there isn't as much of a good selection for M or larger in my opinion... but it is still fun to spend time looking around and trying to find stuff for mad cheap!  Smile
  • The one time I brought clothing to a Platos Closet in Denver, the chicks seriously made me feel like I was the oldest, most out of style person that ever walked in there.  I think I walked out of there with $10.  I was probably 24 or 25, and I had all Express, Abercrombie, and Banana Republic clothing and a pair of never-worn 9 West black heels.  They said they could only give me $10 because so much of it was out of style.  Gee, thanks.  I'll go hide in an unfashionable hole now.

That's exactly what happened to me at Buffalo Exchange.  I felt like such a loser.

It doesn't mean you had no style, persay, they just told me (when rejecting a bunch of my clothes!) that they try to follow the trends of that season. Well, it would have to be something that came back into style then, because who would knowingly get rid of stuff stylish in the current season, unless it just didn't fit or something?

I'm sure there are plenty of folks like us who would've bought the "out of style" stuff!
