Xmas tree officially gone

We put it out on the curb last night and it was whisked away this morning.  Last year because of all the snow it sat around for weeks before they took it away (I want to say it was still sitting on our lawn in early February), so it was almost strange that they were so efficient about it this year.

And because I'm lame and never posted a pic of the tree weeks ago when we were talking about it, here's what it looked like:

  • That is a beautiful tree!

I was so happy to get rid of ours and all those pine needles.

  • Very cute!

This year someone in my neighborhood took their tree out to the curb and stuck it in the snow standing upright.  It looked a lot less sad like that.

Ha! DH tried to do that last night but there wasn't enough snow left.  I agree it would have looked less sad, and really kinda nice, that way.

Ours actually wasn't shedding a lot of needles, and yet it wasn't drinking much water either.  Weird.

  • Ohh it's purty! I like how you wrapped ribbon around it. I tried that last year and it looked dumb the way I did it.

This is the first year I've ever tried the ribbon thing.  I think the trick is to minimize and not wrap it around too many times.  Other than that, I just kind of tucked it in and it worked great.

  • Very pretty! And yay for them taking the tree away so soon, I hate looking at sad trees lying on the ground..
