Hi everyone

I got my TOCYF book yesterday in the mail and I read the first 10 pages and got VERY overwhelmed. Did this happen to you guys when you started reading about fertility?

I'm so confused and I haven't even got through the first chapter. I had to put the book down, it felt so clinical!!

yeah it's pretty overwhelming. Have you tried the tutorials on fertilityfriend.com They break it down in about 13 lessons. I did the tutorials first and then followed up with TCOYF.

For me it was less overwhelming and more eye opening. But I was prepared for a lot of it before I started reading because I had been hearing all about it and charting on BOTB for a few months before I actually read the book and started charting. I can see how it could be a lot at once if you had no idea of so much of this stuff.

I was also overwhelmed by it but just know that once you put it into practice, it will all seem really simple! I also recommend the fertility friend tutorials..

I didn't find it overwhelming, but I'm also in biological research. So it's kinda my area.

I like the PP suggestion of doing the Fertility Friend tetorials. A lot less overwhelming than the whole book. Maybe start with that and then try the book again.

I understand how it can seem daunting. When I first starting reading it, I was a little confused. However, they do break everything down throughout the book. The FF tutorials are definitely helpful. TCOYF is certainly eye opening, I recommend it to everyone. Don't worry, once you start charting it will be like second nature.

ditto others - it might seem overwhelming, but once you start charting, it's actually quite simple and will become second nature

This. BOTB definitely... umm.. numbed? me to what I was getting myself into. once you get into it, it startes making more sense, and will be a great plethora of informtion for when you start charting.

Also, as pp mentions, FertilityFriend's walkthrough is a big help as well, as another source of information.
