Maybe getting transferred...
I may be getting transferred to Jacksonville NC. I'll know in the next couple of weeks, but in case I do end up moving, what do I need to know about NC and the Jacksonville area before moving? I've never been to NC before, and don't know anyone out there, so this will be interesting. What's the cost of living like? And how's the air? Air is a huge thing for us since the air where we live now is awful :-) What are the schools like? Sorry, I just found out today and my mind is reeling a bit.

I don't know a ton about Jacksonville, but I have been before and I actually went house hunting with a friend in the area as well. I'd say the COL is relatively low in Jacksonville. The air is good, there aren't really any major cities around there so nothing to pollute, thought it can get quite hot/humid during the summer.
