I was MIA today because...
I was dealing with motherfvcking carpenter ants.
And work, first, very busy and crazy day at work. Then I had to run to daycare, pick up my little dude, and race home to meet my new bff, the Orkin man because we've been INVADED by a carpenter ant colony. Smart ants that took up residence inside a HEATING VENT!!! So the Orkin man came over and did the first of 7 year long treatments to get rid of them and I've spent all night running around with the mini-vac getting the dead bodies up. So gross!

In our old house, every year ants would take over our bathroom...which was sooo wierd. There isnt any food in the bathroom. But sure enough every eyar they would show up unannounced. Little feckers.
I've heard that's because of the heat, they are heading for the water and the coldness of the bathroom. One year, I think two years ago we got water cockroaches from the heat. They didn't get in the food like regular cockroaches do, but were in the sinks, and bathtubs. They were freaking huge though. The Orkin guy said that the pool attracted them. Great!
Ugh, Rachel, I am so sorry, that sucks! I would gross out!
