  • I have to work Monday... my husband does not. Boo
  • Didn't even know it was a holiday. ::sigh:: I wish I got those kind of holidays off! I just get the major ones. Hardly ever the long weekend ones.

Ha ha ha.  I forgot that you had Mondays off!   I don't have any plans other than relaxing with H.  I am very excited about that.

  • I usually get Monday off too, and because it's holiday pay, I get Wednesday off too, so 3 day weekend for me! I'm having lunch on Monday with my dad, so I'm really excited about that. And then I have a concierge dinner in the North End.
  • Me too! I really need it. My saturday will be spent all day at a theatre conference so I'll still feel like I get a real weekend :)

  • I do! It's my anniversary, so H and I have big dinner plans. Other than that, just relaxing!
  • Ok, I never take the Monday holidays off (my boss and I have an agreement that I can have an extra vacation day if I work on a holiday) so I don't pay much attention, but...

is MLK a recognized holiday in MA? I work for the state, so I should get them all off, but there's all this stuff going on for MLK day, like they assume all us employees will be here on Monday. I'm confused.

But regardless, I'll be at work. ?

Where's the dinner? I love hearing about places in the north end. H and I end up at the same places all the time and we rarely venture off Hanover! I'm on a mission to change that!

  • Me! And I'm excited to be going skiing for the 1st time in over 10 years.

It's at Terramia on Salem St. It's a tiny 36 seat restaurant. I haven't been yet, so I'm excited. Some of the best restaurants are off of Hanover. Some of my favorites: Limoncello on North St., Prezza on Fleet St., Antico Forno on Salem St and Mare on Richmond St. I loooove the North End. Tresca is my favorite, but I may be partial because it's owned by Ray Bourque who is my favorite hockey player. Smile

It is DEFINITELY a holiday in GA, especially in Atl.  The whole state practically shuts down!!  GA gets MLK off, but not Presidents' Day, unless you work for the school system.  Because that makes the most sense, right? (sarcasm...)

I would have the day off, but I quit my job for the move so I'm off indefinitely! However I get to spend this weekend flying myself, my best friend, and my two cats in to Boston on Saturday, then flying my BF out Sunday at 1, and then my FI flies out at 5!  So I'll most likely spend the entire weekend at the airport...  And on top of not seeing FI for the past two weeks, I'll see him for 1 day, then he'll be away for a week!

  • I am!!!!  Gonnd spend it doing absolutely nothing.  I can't wait!
  • I am!  Normally I don't get the Monday holidays off, but since we're so slow that day, they decided to give 2 of us off and make 2 of us work and then the same for President's Day.  So I will be working President's Day...but I have a full weekend of plans this weekend and hopefully just recovering/vegging/relaxing on Monday...
