Recommend your endocrinologist (LONGer than I intended)

I am convinced there is something wrong with me. LOL.

But seriously, I have nearly every symptom of hypothyroidism, have even had doctors recommend to me that I have it checked, but the levels always come back normal. My dermatologist even (to my surprise) had it checked once because of this weird skin thing I had going on.

I'm tired of having all these weird symptoms. And some of them have been getting worse over the past 6 mo or so. But no one ever wants to send me to an endocrinologist, because everything's "normal". Well, everything's not normal. Something is going on. I just don't know what.

My sister has even more symptoms than I do, and as she gets older (she's 41 now) it's getting worse & worse. She's miserable struggling with various issues, and sometimes tells me she thinks she must be crazy because they doctors keep telling her everything's "within normal limits". No one wants to send her to an endocrinologist. They tell her they think such-&-such is out of whack, but when the bloodwork comes back normal, they just say "oh well" and go back to treating the symptom instead of finding the root of the problem.

BTW - my dad has hypothyroidism, but was over 40 and over 300 lbs before they finally diagnosed him properly.

And maybe it's not even my thyroid. Maybe it's something else that the other doctors aren't catching, but an endocrinologist might be more aware of because of their specialty.

I just really want to get this figured out.

Thanks in advance!
