I'm trying to talk John into French doors in our kitchen, but he is hell bent on keeping the sliding glass door. I despise sliding glass doors. John swears that French doors leak, did you do any research on this? I appreciate any ammunition I can get.

Re: ~*Christen~*
My parents have always had French doors in their living room and they've never leaked. The only problem they had with them is that their concrete on the back patio was higher than the doors so the water would drain and hit the doors. They were metal, but the insides were wood/insulation and they rotted out. They got new ones and gave us their old ones, so we're going to pull out the rotted part and put new insulation/wood in and hang them up!
I hate sliding doors. And this sliding door doesn't lock, so there are trashy bars covering it. Hideous!
I think French doors are really classy looking! We lucked up and my parents just got new ones, and so did James' parents, so we have all of their old doors that we're re-doing and putting at our house.
