Hello all! I've lurked a little bit but do not get online often in evenings (work usually wears me out) so I haven't introduced myself for fear of not having time to commit to the board.
I'd like to be part of GTGs and would like to interact more.....so here's my first post:
We are building a house and I'm having the hardest time with my selections, particularly hardwood shade to contrast with dark cabinets. Do you recommend any pros (our design lady is nice but not as helpful as I'd like) that can come along and tell me what will look best?
I appreciate any feedback you have!!!!!
Re: Interior Designer?
I love our decorator!! Jennifer Garner of Refined Interiors. http://www.refined-interiors.com/profile.html
Tell her Katie Astoria sent you!
Welcome! I highly recommend Mark Ashby of Mark Ashby Design:
607 Nueces Street, Austin, TX 78701-2811(512) 524-1220?
He is a true professional in every sense of the word, a great guy, wears very cool vintage Nikes and has been featured in several national design magazines.
I like Laura Britt's style, but I can't afford her.
I'd give some thought first to the type of home you want to have, the sort of look you're going for, and then I'd do a search for Austin designers. Check out their portfolios and get a feel for whether the designer's style is a good fit for the type of home you want to have.
