He negotiated to get back on the road, and out of the office. He's going to be doing road work as well as about 75% of his current management position. He was in a very strong position to negotiate and, to be honest, in the end the money was just too good to pass up. He seems excited about it, so I am excited for him. He's not an office guy, he likes to be out and about...so this is a prefect balance.
As for the new environmental firm, he will continue to run it, but has made an agreement with a close friend and previous business partner to take over most of the day-to-day stuff in exchange for shares in the company. Win, win.
It'll be an adjustment to having him gone all the time, but we've done it before. I am feeling good about it.
