I'm such a freaking chicken

Ben is at an overnight LAN today (nerd alert!), and it's kind of rainy and stormy right now - lots of thunder, etc. - and it probably will be for the rest of the night. So even though the sun hasn't quite set, I just went and turned the hall light on upstairs so I don't have to walk up there into the dark later tonight. I'm a big ole chicken. Embarrassed

Re: I'm such a freaking chicken

  • I totally would have done that same thing!  I hate a dark house.

  • This is why I'm glad my current apartment is so small... there's nowhere for the boogeyman to hide!
  • lisa-not a chicken at all imho-i am actually afraid of the dark and used to sleep with all the lights on in the house-i was a chicken today too-pulled out of some bigger heavier waves-just got freaked
  • Totally don't blame you!  This is why I have an "escape plan" for all sorts of situations.  It's also why I spent 30 minutes this morning reading about German Shepherds and how to choose the perfect puppy.  Apparently even at a young age, the breeder should be able to tell which dog is right for you (in my case, a combination of loyal family pet and stone-cold killer).  It's good to be prepared!

LMAO! I always feel safer with Korben in the house...he's the biggest creampuff ever and would probably just lick an intruder before rolling over on his back for tummy scratches, but because he's built like a coffee table and his breed (Australian Cattle Dog) has a rep for being extremely loyal and protective, he looks like a stone-cold killer so people automatically assume he is and keep their distance - so I always keep him inside when I'm home alone, just in case a psycho tries breaking in lol.

  • I bought a night light for the hallway so I don't have to walk in the dark to BF Elyse in the night
