DH & I both put our names in for a possible transfer to Vermont. It would be a lateral move for me but a promotion for him -- we will only move if he gets offered the promotion. So far everyone we told thinks we are crazy to up-root our family and move 7hrs away to a place where we don't know anyone. I have to admit that I am more excited than scared, lol. So...

Yes, but for a promotion only. We wouldn't move if one of us wasn't making more money.

Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East. Mostly because there are a lot of places there where I can't have my family with me, and I can't do that.

Would you move out of state for work (either lateral move or promotion)? This is the reason I live in NJ. We met in FL and moved up here about 5 months prior to getting married. H and I both interviewed for better jobs at our corp office. Somrthing other than monay to think about is the quality of life.
