we're hosting the First Annual O-Bowl on SuperBowl Sunday... .20 families are invited - so we're expecting about 70 people, including kids. We have some fantabulous things planned (separate pools for adults ($$ pool) and kids (prizes pool), I'll make football/helmet cookies for the kids to decorate and we'll put those out for dessert, we have other games, etc.
Every party i throw is very invite-intensive. My theory is if you blow them away with the invite, they won't dare miss the party!! The invite box pictured below is the Kick-Off Kit. The yellow flag is an 8x8 penalty flag with the invitation printed on it. The last line of the flag.... "Failure to appear will result in a personal foul and a one party suspension."
Instructions are included on the flag for the coin toss and the white football in the box. The coin toss is 2-sided... one side has a picture of our home and says "at the o-bowl, of course", the other side is white and just says "at some other friends' lame ass party". The RSVP card has a place holder with double sided tape for the guests to put their coin response side up on the card and give back to Erik. The white football should be decorated by each "team" (family") and brought to the party to be judged. We have some freaking awesome prizes to give out. The referee bottle koozie with the bottle of beer was a HUGE hit.
So excited... invites are out... and so far 14 yes responses and 0 no responses.
Re: PIPs - our SuperBowl invites...
You are amazing. Holy COW these are so cool!!!! You are probably the most creative person I know. And if I ever get to host a superbowl party - I am stealing all of your ideas.
They're awesome! What a party!

that is sooo cool!
thanks girlies!! They were a ton of fun to make. Now I realize I should have included a football shaped brownie or something, but it's fine... right?
For the adult betting pool, i'm going to vinyl a huge grid on my wall and give each guest their last name in vinyl (many of them)... they can then put their names in the boxes they want. It'll be a giant super bowl pool - but fun to keep checking without having to look at a photocopy! Each "team" will have their own color, too.
