car related question...

BF just emailed me saying that he just got in his truck to run an errand and there was about 3 inches of water in the driver side floor board. Any ideas as to how this happened?

Facts to know:

*Truck has been backed into the driveway (slanted) for almost a week or since we've been back.

*Windows were all rolled up.

Seriously....not a riddle- real situation, just wondering how this could have happened.

Re: car related question...

  • Ok, I don't know anything about trucks but here's a guess.  If I'm understanding how it was parked, is it possible that there could have been rainwater in the bed that somehow leaked into the front part?

  • I'm almost positive that the bed and cab are 2 different entities.... not 100% though.

I'm almost wondering if rain would have come through the air vents or whatever it is that is by the windshield wipers?

this is what I was thinking, but it still seems super weird.  :/

  • I'd check to see if you have condensation in your air vents.  I've seen that happen on the passenger side of a car, but not the driver side!
  • My car has some kind of leak because every time it rains I get a puddle of water on the floor of the passenger side.  But it hasn't really rained in the last week, so that's probably not it?
