Holding myself accountable...

Hello lovelies!

I know I haven't done much posting in quite some time, but I do pop in to see how everyone's doing!  I love reading about the happenings in everyones life!  I hope all is well with everyone :)

So... on to the title of this post.  I'm here because I need to hold myself accountable for the day.  Last night was the first weigh in for our Biggest Loser Family Challenge.  After our meeting last night (there's 6 of us), I was so excited for this!  But today was awful, and I need to tell someone to hold myself accountable.

I didn't eat a ton of food today, but the things I did eat were awful.  Today was Breakfast Club at work and I passed on the donuts and pastries, but I did have 3 of these muffin-shaped egg things.  I don't know exactly what they are but they were delish!  Then, at our all-employee work meeting, I snacked on cheese, crackers, gardettos, a cookie, and a soda.  And to round out my day, I had mac and cheese for dinner.  I am ashamed that this is my first day, but like I said... I had to be accountable to someone.  And I chose you girls!  I really hope you don't mind...

Thanks for being here!  Have a wonderful night!

  • Hey girl!!!  Glad to see you around.

Sorry your dieting day didn't go as you hoped it would... I can certainly feel that pain!!  Take baby steps if it's too much all at once.  After all, you DID pass on the donuts and pastries!  And have chewing gum always around.  It helps!!!

Ohhh - btw - did you have a vegas monogram?  Nicole sent me one, but I was looking for the diamond logo and didn't remember who had it.

Hugs to you - and hope all is going well with you guys!!

  • Thanks for the kind words, Lisa!  I know it's not the end of the world... it's just a bummer.

I will check on my old computer!  I don't remember if I saved any (or if I even had the diamond shaped one) but I will totally look!

  • Good luck Linds!  I really need to get my butt going on the diet thing too.  I'm weak though!!!
  • Good luck! You can do it!  It's good to see you on here too. :)

  • I've had really bad days like this too. I always try to tell myself that no matter what I did to disappoint myself, I can always change it. And I think it helps to not say "I was bad at breakfast...tomorrow I'll do better" but "I was bad at breakfast, I'll do better at lunch and dinner."
  • Hey girl! I had a bad eating day too, although I started out with the best of intentions. But tomorrow is another day. Here's to recommiting tomorrow!
  • Hi!

Sorry to hear your day didn't go as planned. Just remember, tomorrow is a fresh start. Your food log for today looks waaaay better than mineEmbarrassed Since you fessed up, I will too. I started the day with two blueberry toaster waffles. Then at work someone brought in brownies with chocolates on top, I had two. Lunch was a lean cuisine and half a leftover steak from when we went out to eat Saturday. When I got home from work I ate 6 double stuff oreo cookies and a 100 calorie pack. Then for dinner Jason brought home Subway and Culver's fries. Yeah...and I wonder why I can never lose any weight.

  • I think it's great you're at least trying! When we started "dieting" we started very small.....things like 1% milk instead of 2%, brown rice instead of white, wheat tortillas instead of flour. Honestly it made a HUGE difference. Then you can build on that. And if you do slip up, don't dwell on it, just look forward to the next thing. GL I know you can do it!

  • Just think about diets as learning to walk.

At first you try to stand, and fall on your bum.

Then you grab something to balance (like a table, or some willing nesties).

Then you try again, and fall a few more times.

    And you never stop trying..

And before you know it you are running around Big Smile

Eventually, this new way to live will be as easy as running around.

Until then, it's great you started, and don't let one day spoil such great motivation!
