moving to austin
hey!
my fiancee and i plan to move to austin in a couple of years...i know that's far away. i like to be prepared and want to know as much as possible before we make the major move.
any suggestions for the best area to live? kid-friendly? we have a 2-year-old...he'll be 4 or 5 when we move, right before kindergarten. best schools?

Circle C is a wonderful family neighborhood (kids everywhere, hiking trails, parks, a great community pool) with really great schools. Kiker, one of the elementary schools, is consistently rated at the top of all Austin ISD schools. The middle and high schools are also wonderful. The homes are priced anywhere from about $230K to $500K and up.
Westlake (west austin) is the Eanes school district, which is a magnificent school district. Its a very coveted place to live, however, and the homes run from $350K to the millions.
