Well, a trial run at least. See, I made an error on my witholding statement at work and didn't realize it until December. Before the wedding I changed my marital status and changed my exemptions to 2, and then realized later that because we make so little I should have just left it at 0. DH was very mad when he learned of this thinking we would end up owing the gov't. Well, I'm very happy to say that we won't owe! Plus we'll get the full $8,000 housing credit as long as we file after the closing on the house. Phew! I never would have lived that down if I'd screwed us over.

Re: Just did our taxes...
Yay!!! Glad to hear!!
And I'm impressed you were able to do a trial run so early. We've only gotten one form out of probably a dozen we're supposed to be getting.

Yay for trial runs and getting money back!
I am so scared to do our taxes this year. Last year I had way too much withheld on my W-4 and we owed a lot which we are still paying off! I changed the withholdings and we added another deduction(the baby-LOL) but Im still scared and dont know how the disability and FMLA I was paid during maternity leave will affect it. We shall see!
Im glad you didnt owe and are getting some back this year!
