Re: nursery progress
it's looking great! We have a totally beige house too, with walls and carpet. A lot of people are anti-carpet, but let me tell you, it was so nice when Elise was learning how to walk, not having to worry about her smashing her head on a hard floor. Sure, the carpet looks like poo now because she purposely spills her milk all over it, but oh well!
Oh, I read your blog and your SIL sounds like a real peach.
Loving the curtains!
::runs off to read blog::
The curtains are so ghetto right now. Those are the only pink ones I could find that I liked. Checked a bunch of stores and bought a few packs online and that's the only one that matches the custom valence we're getting perfectly (which is the same pattern as the crib skirt). But I need the 64" panels and they only had them on 84" so I have the folded over the top and pinned. They're supposed to tie around the rod at the top, so you can see the strings hanging. If I decide I really want them, then I'll cut the fabric and probably iron-hem them at the top b/c I'm lazy like that and don't know how to use my sewing machine that's still in the box!
Glider came in so we're putting that and the crib together this weekend. I'm excited....Just need ILs to order the dresser.
