Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

New TK profiles
As most of you probably know, a lot of our users build bios on other sites, rather than The Knot. We took the hint and decided to upgrade our bio features a bit and you'll see them later today.
Just a note, if you already have a bio on The Knot, you'll still have it and can make it your profile in your settings when they launch. And of course, we'll be here to answer any questions.
Oh, and, very exciting, we won't be directing married profiles to The Nest anymore 
.

I'm having trouble getting an old bio to set as the default - I've done the little check marks in the settings function (and they're still checked), and it worked yesterday, but today, no dice! Boo!

I really like that things you "save" show up in your bio - to me this is kind of an "inspiration" area in that regard. I need to play around with it a little more to figure out how to get my own, permanent pictures on there (meaning: where did I store them on my computer?!). I'm also a big fan of the option to create your own "inspiration board" (that doesn't change as you add "favorites") and how easy it is to sort by color. Would it be possible to add the option of uploading your own photos to it?
I like the proposal story and color swatches offered first to get people started. It took me a while to realize I could "add new content" (I was thinking, "what about the other pages?!"), although that could just be user error. ;-) It'd be nice to have a little more color availability (shades) for the wedding color choices and maybe 3 color options or 2 color options with an "accent" color, if possible. Red and blue just don't seem to have the same idea as wine and teal. ;-P
Overall, I think the bios are more user friendly and hope a lot more people use them!

Also, when do you guys think this will be ready to announce to the boards? I noticed there were some changes going on this morning - are things ready now that we could unleash the masses? Or should we wait on announcing the new profiles?
