Possibly dumb question
So we were trying to sell our fridge, we bought it when we moved into our current place but don't need it for the new place.
Well after no luck and a lot of aggravation we finally asked our new landlord if we could take it with us since it is much newer than theres and we would just leave it when we moved. He said that was fine.
Now the dumb part, how do you move a fridge? Do you have to take the doors off? How long does it have to be unplugged before you move it? I am just thinking logistically for anyone that has done it.

You do not take the doors off and you can unplug it and then move it, I believe. (It does need to stay upright, I believe, because of the freon or whatever it is inside.)
You'd put it on a dolley so it's on wheels, wheel it to your truck, get it up on the truck (there are straps and things you can use - I didn't pay much attention when FIL and Greg moved ours in.) Strap the puppy in so it doesn't move around, drive it to your new location, unload it, wheel it in, plug 'er in.

Are you renting a truck, Jo? Most trucks come with a dolley on it (of course, they typically charge you to use it
). Otherwise I'm sure you could find one at most any rental store (they're also referred to as 2-wheelers.)
I guess I hadn't realized it's so easy to puncture any part of it - we've moved a few refrigerators and never had any problems.
We are renting a truck, I'm not sure if a dolly comes with it, but we will rent one if it doesn't. I am concerned about the stairs out of our old place and into the new place but I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
