Opinions on the MA election?
Are you following it? What do you want to see happen?
Re: Opinions on the MA election?
10 pts to whoever gets that movie reference.
In all seriousness, it's been since 1972 or 3 that Mass has had a republican in our senate seat. It's pretty crazy. Truthfully I think Coakley will win, but I am praying that she doesn't. There's a million reasons why I support Brown and a lot of them have to do with my hating Coakley for her apparent ignorance and lack of common sense. She has also twisted the hell out of Scott Brown's words on many levels. I also think Brown is a more likeable, normal, everyday guy, which usually doesn't seem like a big deal, but when you're likeable you get better support from people, thus getting more things done.
I cannot wait til I wake up tomorrow morning and this whole ordeal is over. The media has been crazy in this state for the past few months. I feel like I am missing what is going on in the world outside of Mass because I am inundated by useless campaign ads ripping Brown apart.

Fortunately, whether or not a Republican gets into this seat probably will be the deciding factor on the health care bill. (that's just my opinion)
The major 2 factors built into this election have been health care and taxes. Most of my Dem/Independent friends are voting Brown based solely on health care, given the clusterfuuck of bills in the House and Senate right now. My H - a notorious blue voter - voted for Brown because of this.
I really don't know who will win at this point, but unemployment in MA is around 9%, and the economy "upturn" isn't exactly showing. Whoever takes Kennedy's spot will need to do something soon because another 3 years of this could give this state a pretty split pink shading.
