Hi ladies,

I have a quick second and thought I'd update you on my exciting arrival!

Baby Fiona Kathleen was born Friday Jan 15 weighing 9 lbs 8 oz 

I was 41 weeks, 5 days pregnant, so I thankfully managed to avoid my scheduled induction.

For those interested in a birth story, here's the short version -  9 hrs of labour in total from water breaking to baby's arrival, most of which was at home overnight so I was able to sleep through a lot of it (score!).  I was at the hospital just for the pushing/delivery, and we were back home within 3 hours of baby's arrival.

And now onto the big question - is little miss a ginger baby? Much to my surprise she's a brunette, but depending on the light I catch her in though her hair looks like it just might have some red in it. So we may end up with a red head after all! Not that I care, she's absolutely perfect just as she is (particularly right now when she's sleeping in her daddy's arms) Big Smile
