Do you lovely ladies have any suggestions on how to promote teamwork at work? I am struggling to get some of my people to join the team. They don't like the changes or the fact they have a boss that pays attentions to what they do.
I understand why they can resist change. Things in the company are changing. Some of the changes I would rather not make, but I don't have a choice. I try to always be positive with them. I just need some suggestions if you have any.
Re: Promoting Teamwork
We always used to have contests that would make us work together.... like during the month of January whichever site brings in the most $ with people paying their copays, deductibles, etc would win lunch. I don't know if your budget allows for things like that though.
It can be a challenge. You can do everything in your power, but a lot of it depends on the attitude of your employees.
I don't have any real sugguestions, but I think that being positive is great as I it's really important to lead by example. Hopefully they'll begin to come around. Sometimes it just takes time.
Good luck!

We do a lot of work potlucks for lunch. Those are always a lot of fun.
Either that or lunches out paid for by the department - that always makes me feel like wanting to be a team player
You could do work HH's and cut out early on a Friday we did those at one of my last jobs and they were always fun. We paid for ourselves, but it was nice to be able to get out of the office and have a little fun
Umm..what else...you could google team building events and see what pops up in your area. We've got a place around here Hemlock Overlook and they have a workshop (its outside) for team building and problem solving and it's pretty neat
