Mouse is gone. FIL is my new hero and is getting the best Father's Day present ever this year.
We parked my car in their garage after work, then opened all the doors to the car, shut the garage door, and put both of their cats in the garage. FIL cleaned out my car and popped the hood and BOOM out ran mr. mouse. The cats went nuts chasing it around and I had to leave b/c I felt bad for mr. mouse as it was evident he was about to die.
To make a long and sort of boring story - cats kill mouse, FIL removes dead mouse body from area, cats get treats, and FIL continues to clean out my whole car because he's cool like that.
We found a mouse nest in my glove compartment when cleaning it out. My car registration is now covered in what appears to be mouse pellets and a yellow/brownish stain that I will presume is mouse urine. Sweet huh?
