So i had the growth ultrasound and our Big big boy is 6 lbs 11oz according to the the ultrasound which the midwife informed me isnt always so accurate. He is in the 73 percentile. His head is huge
as the tech put it. It literally took up the whole screen thanks to DH. He also has some huge cheeks. He was being stubborn about a profile shot but we did get a face shot of him which i will scan in later.
Then came the dreaded scary appointment which went perfectly fine and the test i was so worried about ended up not being so bad especially since i could do it myself. She did take some blood as she is concerned about me being so dizzy lately. I wont get either result for a few days. My OB will talk to me next week about a possible induction due to size or even a c-section due to his head size. The midwife said ill probably go natural so dont get too excited about a c-section. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers and i just hope my results come back normal for both tests.
Re: Appointment updates
Yah! I'm so glad to hear that everything went so well.
Oh, I also wouldn't worry to much about weight 'cause they told me Emily was going to be 8-9 lbs. at 36 weeks and she came out at 6lbs 10oz. So, who knows.
I'm happy to hear the appointments went well! I hope the test results come back fine with nothing to worry about!
I know it's easier said then done and you probably hear it all the time, but these last few weeks try not to get too anxious about everything. And enjoy the last few moments before the baby comes. I remember wishing the weeks would just go by quicker so I could have all of my questions answered (when will he come, will he be healthy, will it hurt, etc)...but I really wish I took that time to embrace those weeks before Declan arrived.
Paula, i had 2 blood tests for the dizzyness just to run my glucose and hemoglobin which they just called and that test came back normal so im to eat more protein snacks. The other test is a not so pleasant swab test for group b strep. I will not find out those results for 3 days about.
