...on facebook. Awesome! little background: She's 21 has 2 kids, 11 months a part, had the first when she was 19. Her fiance/baby daddy is in the military (that is the excuse they give for not getting married sooner) but her parents, (my cousin is her dad-so I guess she is my 2nd cousin?) are paying for them to have a huge wedding. It's in Wyoming so it won't cost as much as say a wedding in Denver, but they are inviting a few hundred people. They can't even pay for their apartment without help from their parents and they are going to pay to have this huge/outrageous wedding. It's ridiculous, I think her dress cost almost what my wedding cost. I understand wanting her to have her dream wedding, but seriously when you already have 2 kids, one income (she's a stay at home mom) and can't afford to live without help from the parent's, maybe you don't need a huge wedding.
Sorry for the vent, she has 3 sisters and a little brother at home and I think its a waste of money to spend that much on the wedding when they don't have money to send the other girls to college if they want.
Re: I just got an invite to my cousin's wedding...
I'm sorry but it cracks me up that they're throwing a big fancy wedding but sent invites out through FB.
I agree that's its a waste but PP Has a point that people will spend their money however they deem appropriate.
Huge waste of money that she doesn't have. Wow. Completely irresponsible. Sad.
I completely agree. How tacky!!!! FB invite. Pleaseee
