Well if you thought the chicken finger dinner request was weird..

I have another one for you.  This morning Dh says to me "don't get me wrong, last nights dinner was amazing,  but tonight I have a special request.  I have been craving it all week"

"sure honey what's that?" thinking Farmers Breakfast, more chicken fingers, possibly Penne with hot itallian sausage cooked with beer...one of his staple foods...

"I really want mac and cheese"

"oookay I think we have some KD in the cupboard"

"No not KD like you know real mac and cheese"

"like the casserole with the bread crumbs and my secret cheese sauce and..."

"No! like you know mac and cheese!  Where you use the elbow macaroni and mix it with the cheese whiz and milk and...you know MAC AND CHEESE!"

He never ceases to amaze me.  His mom and sister are serious foodies. How he ended up loving cheep and easy meals I will never know.  I know he didn't eat mac and cheese this way until he met me.

  • I have to say that I am a big fan, myself, of the whiz on macaroni. DH is not. At. All. It's always nice, once in a while, to have a simple, no frills dinner :)
  • ewwwwwwww to cheese wiz Ick!
  • Double ew on Cheese Whiz, back in the olden days when I worked at Wal Mart we had a whole pallet of the stuff flip over...it was one nasty clean up!

  • My personal philosophy is not to eat cheeze spelt with a  Z (no prossesed).  My father is the same way... my mother and my husband love the stuff though so whenever we're all together my mom buys a huge bottle of Cheeze Whiz and the two of them polish it off.

     BARF!

  • Well I can honestly say we rarely have cheese whiz.. Cheese-tastic however is always in the fridge.  Sure it's EXACTLY the same  but I like it because in French it's Fromidable and that makes me smile.

  • haha I can also relate to DH loving cheap foods...he could eat bologne and cheese sandwiches all day everyday...no butter on the bread or anything...its revolting! And he tends to quick mic hot dogs and the smell is killing me! As for the cheese wiz im also a big ewww but if I dont have it in the house DH buys multiple jars...how were these men raised?? hahaha

I've never heard of Cheese-tastic, but I'm LMAO @ Fromidable!
