After celebrating our wonderful news yesterday D started asking me how he could help to eliminate some of my stress. I went on about how nice it would be if he did some things around the house on a more consistent intentional basis. Currently he works less hours and is home before me most days or goes in after me the others. Plenty of opportunity to do things around the house.
He admitted that he just doesnt see things the way that i do (which i can understand, he is a man after all.) Adding too that some sort of list or chart would help him stay on track and get things done if he knew when to do them. ![]()
After some healthy discussion he organized a chart to be able to pick up his end of the bargain and have it to where neither of us feels that we do more than the other.
He has even agreed to cook two nights a week and is actually excited about it. I dont know what I did right......but there is sunshine and lollipops surrounding me right now. I am beyond thankful.

YES! This is exactly what to do. I'll admit J is pretty good, but he does have a slightly lower standard of cleaniness than me so we set up make our expectations clear and make cleaning schedules. That way it doesn't matter if he doesn't think the bathroom is dirty, it STILL gets cleaned on Tuesday. And if doesn't matter I don't think it's a big deal to leave dishes in the sink, we agreed all dishes are done by the end of the day so I'll do those last two dishes anyway. That way there's less to fight about! GO KARREY!
I agree though....I will think of something.
I agree!
I definitely believe in positive reinforcement!
This!
That's AWESOME! There is a huge positive aura around you right now with all this good news....live it up!
