The Rain

So the first couple of days I enjoyed it because it was something other than sunshine every day. But now I'm over it.

How about you guys: are you still enjoying the rain or over it?

Re: The Rain

  • I'm still enjoying the rain.  Yeah it sucks having to drive in it, but since it's so rare I'm not complaining too much.
  • I'm totally LOVING it!  It finally feels like a real winter to me!  I've missed this since moving down here from NorCal.

  • I love C reaction more than anything. He reaches out & says, "touch it, touch it". I stood in the rain (it was sprinkling) w/him & he loved every second of it. You could see him try to figure out why he was getting wet. hehe

It won't last for long! :)

  • As long as I am not on the road, I'm enjoying it. Especially the little bits of thunder and lightning.

B- is it stormy out your way too? C says "touch it?" too cute!!

  • Yup, we're getting your sloppy seconds. :p He does, I mean is it clear? Of course not, but it's still super cute. I'm the one to blame. I would always ask if wanted to touch something (the tree during our walk, shirts hanging in the store) whatever, I asked all the time then he started saying it back & reaching out for objects. It's funny.

  • I was just going to post about this.  I'm over it.  We managed to get Aeri out to gymnastics yesterday before the storm hit and managed to get to the park for about 20 minutes during the break in the storm the day before, but we're both sick of being stuck inside.  We missed dance class this morning because I didn't want to drive in this weather and our back road is flooded which meant taking the 15 and 91 out to Anaheim Hills and mostly likely hitting traffic.  She wants to go play on slides so badly that she turned one of our lap tables into a slide and is sliding on it, lol.  Our backyard is completely flooded and it looks like all the downpour killed the flowers MIL just planted out front.  I'm glad we did BIG grocery shopping before the storms because the rest of my errands have all been put on hold since I don't want to deal with taking Aeri in and out of her carseat, getting her jacket on and off, etc. for 5 minute errands.
  • I'm not quite over it. But I haven't had to take the kids out in the rain either. Or have a long commute.

I put Joaquin's high chair in front of the sliding glass doors and he just sat there watching the rain.

I just wish we could get some wind, thunder and lightning over here. Usually when that happens, there are power outages at work so we get to go home

  • Maybe I'm over it because I drive 45 min each way to work. I like being able to sit inside and watch the rain come down but I leave work when it's dark and come home and it's dark. I have also been eating in the break room instead of the car so I don't have to deal with the rain. Our break room is small and normally smells horrible.

  • Over it. I am afraid of going into labor (been contracting) while DH is at work and having to deal with this mess.

I have back-up rides but it still will be totally annoying.

  • I dont mind the rain, but I do realize now I could never live in Seattle.  I am over having to deal with a dog in the rain! What I like about the rain is being able to snuggle under blankets and keep warm. Not put on layers and wait outside while D tries to find a non-wet spot to pee.

  • I like it when it is the weekend. I'm not digging it during the week.
  • I hate driving in the rain, and I really hate getting my hair wet! IM SOOO OVER THE RAIN! Our power went out a few times already, and the canyon is totally flooded, forcing me to take the freeway!
