My dress is still hanging in my closet and I'm trying to decide what to do with it... Has anyone made any decisions and followed through with them yet?

Still hanging in the closet. The thought of giving it away or selling it makes me sad but what further use will I get out of it? IDK what to do. It needs cleaned regardless, though.

Mine's hanging in the closet... I kind of like looking at it every day.
I'm eventually going to have it cleaned and preserved but it's so expensive! From what I've found where I live, it's going to be $200-$300! We definitely don't have the cash right now.
I live in a pretty large city so I may give it to my mom to have it cleaned in her little po-dunk town. I think it would be cheaper. Or, someone posted once about an online service that ships you a box to ship it to them in... something like that... and it seemed cheaper than local dry cleaners. If my mom's town is expensive too, I may try that.
Mine is still hanging in my closet, waiting to be cleaned. I'm not interested in doing a TTD, I'm just lazy.
I'll probably end up preserving it, I think I'm a little too sentimental to donate it
I sent mine away to get cleaned and preserved and it's now in a box in our closet (well technically in my MIL's closet since we live in a little condo). It cost about $150 but I think it came out really nicely. I hope that if we're lucky enough to have a daughter or daughter in law that I can make a hankie or a pillow or garter or something out of it...

Mine is hanging in the closet, still dirty from the wedding and a TTD shoot. I just don't have the extra money to have it cleaned, and I'm still holding out hope that my TTD photographer will feel generous and will want to do another shoot in another season. He keeps talking about doing one in the snow.
I think I'll keep it and may have a christening gown made from it for future babies... we'll see when the time comes.
