Do you wear make-up?

I'm curious?

Do you wear make-up to work? anytime you go out? on special occasions? never? always?

Re: Do you wear make-up?

  • I rarely wear make-up.

I wear it maybe once a month to work depending on how much time I have before I have to leave and my mood. I'd take 10 min of sleep over 10 min of make-up any day (for work at least).

When DH and I go out for special occasions or a date night, I usually put it on. Unless I wear eye make-up, I don't look much different with it on/off. I love how my eyes look with make-up, but it's not worth all the effort.

EDIT: When I just do "my face is red today" make-up, I take less than 5 minutes. I put on moisterizer and foundation, maybe blush depending on the redness.

When I do "we're going out" make-up, it takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on if I play with colors or do the norm. I have tons of eye make-up and play with a bunch of different looks.

  • Due to the redness on my cheeks, I typically do.  In the summertime, I will go w/out eyeliner, but I will almost always do mascara (waterproof).  I always wear it to work (with exception of when I get poison ivy).

DH likes the natural look, but knows I'm particular about the redness.  Plus, there's a sunscreen in the foundation, etc...

  • I wear makeup anytime I leave the house, even if it's just to run to the store.  The amount of makeup depends on where I'm going though (work, out for the night, running errands).  I look a lot different (read - better) with makeup on.  Plus, I just love makeup anyway, I have fun playing around with it  Smile

  • I generally only wear mascara and powder.  If DH and I are going out I'll put on eye shadow, but I only wear foundation, eye liner, etc. for really fancy occasions.

  • Everyday. It's funny, I'm actually a low maitenence person in general, but I do wear a decent amount of make-up everyday. I wear foundation, cover-up, eye shadow, eye-liner, and blush. It takes me less than 10 minutes to do my face and then maybe only 5 - 10 to do my hair so I don't really mind. Sometimes on the weekends, I'll skip the liner. In the summer, occasionally skip almost everything but I like it. I don't usually have to touch up during the day so it's not a bother.

(PSA: Urban decay eye liner is da bomb. I put it on in the morning and it barely smudges or fades. I love it.)

  • The only make up I wear to work is foundation and mascara because normally I just sweat it off anyhow.  I love working with men.  lol

Whenever I go out and about and tend to spruce it up a bit more with the eye shadow, liner, blush, etc.

  • I wear make up to work.  Sometimes I keep it simple on Casual Fridays or on weekends.  I really go all out for dress-up occasions or if my skin is looking bad.

I like to have at least eyebrows and mascara on to run a quick errand so I don't look so washed out.  And lately I've been adding Benefit That Gal primer/brightener or Dr. Feelgood to that to mattify my shiny skin.

Ohhhh you are a Benefit gal too!!! YAY!

I wear make-up during the week but unless I have something going on during the weekend, I skip it and let my skin breathe a bit.

I do have TONS of makeup and play with it a lot when I do wear it.  Still doesnt take me long though.

I got DH hooked on this stuff (shhhh don't tell).  He has the oiliest skin and this makes such a difference!

I wear makeup everyday.  I am old.  Even if it is a bumming around the house day I at least have on mascara and blush/bronzer (Benefit Dallas, yep, another Benefit girl!).  I am a white mexican and need all the color I can get otherwise I am PASTY.  For everyday, I wear pretty much everything, and for going out, I still do everything, but glam it up, with darker colors and heavier eyeliner.  I love makeup.

  • I wear Bare Escentuals Foundation everyday.  If we're going out  for dinner or something, then I'll put on eye makeup/mascara, etc.  If we're staying in, I let my skin and hair breathe and let it go with just moisturizer.

  • The farthest I go with makeup is lip gloss, and that's on very very rare occassion and the occassion has to be SUPER special.  Other than that fahgettaboudit.
  • My full makeup is loose mineral powder, eyeliner and mascara and lip gloss. On most days I don't wear anything unless I am going to a social thing in public. But if I just go to work at the coffee shop or something, I won't bother with it.
  • Monday through Thursday: I do studio fix/powder, mascara, and lip gloss.**On days when I have extra time or feel like it, I add some eye liner and neutral eye-shadows.

Fridays (4-hr casual workday)/Saturdays/Sundays-  Little to no make-up for running errands, but if I am doing something (meeting friends, dinner, etc.) then I like to do a "full face" and make an attempt to look cute :)

It sounds like I need to try this oily skin product you gals are raving about because my skin is on the oilier side :(

  • I wear make up to work every day.

I only wear MAC. I wear powder, blush, eyeshadow and mascara.

When I want to look more finished, then I bust out the foundation and concealer and eyeliner and the whole bit.

  • I've actually been trying to break my addiciton to eyeliner . . . The woman in my family love it, maybe a little too much sometimes. I need to find a more casual look but I love the way my eyes stand-out in black liner.
  • Oh how I wish I could go without makeup. I have the WORST complexion: super oily, acne, scarring, redness. I wish I could cut it off and trade it in for a new one. And to top it off, I'm super pale so EVERYTHING shows. *sigh* I don't even take the trash out without a few dabs of concealer. I wear concealer, mineral makeup (because oil makes liquid makeup literally slide off), blush, shadow, mascara whenever I leave the house. Liner to dress it up a little sometimes.
  • I wear a little make-up to work.

I usually wear it if I'm going out of the house but it doesn't bother me if I don't have it on.  However, if I'm going to meet friends for a night out then I'll definitely put it on.  I love getting all dressed up for a big night out.

  • Most days I wear make-up to work.  That involved mineral powder, bronzer, blush, eye shadow, eye liner, and mascara.

When I'm not gonig to work I atleast always wear eyeliner, eye shadow, and mascara because I'm so pale I feel washed out when I don't.

  • I wear make up every day, unless I am not laving the house. I have albino white lashes and eyebrows, so I tend to look really Blah with out it.

I wear foundation/concealer, mascara, eyebrow powder,  blush and lip gloss everyday, and more than not eyeliner and eyeshadow for work. I love MAC, benefit, and clinique. I am slo always buying new stuff and trying different things out.

  • I pretty much always wear make-up, just depends on where I am going.  On weekends just running errands I only wear mascara and some lipgloss.  To work I wear mascara, blush, eye liner, and lip gloss.  Everything else is somewhere in between.

If I am going out somewhere fancy I will really do up my eyes with dark shadow and eye liner.

  • Most days I put on pressed powder and chapstick.  If I'm going out for dinner/special occasion/out with friends I will wear the forementioned press powder, concealer, blush, eye makeup, and mascara.
  • I do mineral powder and mascara as a bare minimum daily, but I didn't start doing that until I was about 25. . . For work, I add eyes, blush, and sometimes lip gloss, more for a night out, but I never go super heavy.

Unless I'm going to the gym, or for a run or bike ride, I don't leave the house without it. And it drives me nuts when I see girls in the gym with a face full of makeup. Even if you came straight from work, you could pack those disposable makeup remover things. . .

Exactly! And really, many of them are not working out very hard. . . probably to keep their makeup looking good!
