book clubs?
Any of you ladies actually attend a book club? My local board is having one, and it looks like there will be a lot of attendees, none of whom I know since I'm still sorta new to GTGs over there. But I'm wondering if it will be a round table discussion like you see on tv or if people will be discussing it in their own little cliques. I know you don't know what ours will be like, but what have the ones you've gone to been like?
And any interest in start a monthly book discussion club/thread?
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

I post on the NBC, they are awesome. I would so be into a thread here, but don't think I can keep up with all of the reading!
Usually, it's a round-table discussion with everyone. But depending how many people are attending, it may be broken down into groups. That is very unusual (in my experience) though. Sounds fun!

Well, it's 2/4 at 7pm and the book is My Sister's Keeper, by Jodi Picoult. I've bought it but haven't started reading it yet. I'm not sure who to page on our local, maybe FireChiefsBride, or MrsAJL. FCB answered my question about the book club today, so I'm thinking her, or she can at least steer you in the right direction. Or page ***book club evite person**
FYI--they had several pb copies at the Parmer Half Price, so I'm guessing you can pick it up at any of them.

We tried to start a book club last fall (08) I think, and it didn't really work out, sadly.
Can I please drive to Austin and join in on the book club action?! Because, a) I've been dying to go to Austin and b) I would start one here but I'm starting to think I'm the only one around with more than 3 teeth.
