co-sleeper - finally here!
The co-sleeper (Arm's Reach) finally came in yesterday (ordered on 12/31, should have been here 1/14 at the latest). BRU did give me an extra 15% off for my inconvenience. So I'll give them kudos for doing the right thing there.
My LO seemed to really like it! He slept 5 1/2 hours. YAY!
It was a little difficult to maneuver since our bedroom isn't really set up to have a cosleeper next to the bed, but we made it work. Now I can sleep with my body pillow again too. Let's hope it all continues to work!
Re: co-sleeper - finally here!
yay, glad it's working for you!
That is nice that they gave you a discount for the wait - I'll have to remember that in case it ever happens to me!
Yay! Did you get the mini or original size? We set ours up last weekend. You say it's not set-up as a co-sleeper next to your bed, so are you using it more like a bassinet/pack and play?

We did end up going with the mini. We made it work as a co-sleeper, so it is set up like it's intended to be... it was just a little difficult and we had to maneuver some furniture around in our room. I'm so glad he likes it!
Oh I read your OP wrong...you room wasn't set up for a co-sleeper. Got it. We had to do some re-arranging in our room too. We have the Original sized one and it's big, but I think we'll be able to use it until Libby is 5-6 months, if we want to. We plan to have her nap in her crib and maybe sleep the first part of the night in there too (since they recommend not having baby in the co-sleeper without an adult in the bed). We shall see.
Cannot wait to hear how you like it.

Our bed is higher than the co-sleeper too...our matress is just a little higher than the "bumper" of the side of the sleeper. Is that wrong? Nothing in the instructions said anything about it. Our bed is somewhat high (sleigh bed with box spring and sleep number mattress with pillow top) and the co-sleeper mattress is about 8 inches below our mattress. I can reach into it easily though when it's sidecar-ed to my side of the bed.
As for Ashton...will he refuse to go back to sleep in it or is it just easier to keep him in bed with you? I really hope we can get Libby to sleep in it. I am a heavy sleeper and worry about having her actually bedsharing with us.
