This might be why I shave every day ... 1. My leg hair is black and awful and 2. I just use a razor and water, so it takes me less than a minute to shave from toe to thigh.

I have the schick intuition. the cartridges cost an arm and a leg, but it's worth it.

you don't get razor burn? the thought of shaving w/o soap/cream makes my skin curl!

I shave with just water and razor, as well. No razor burn (unless I go out by a pool shortly after a shave in the summer).

I use conditioner and razor or just water and razor if I'm in a hurry or being lazy. No burn.

FWIW, I use good razor blades, Gilette, I think. Not throwaways. I think that cuts down on nicks and burn.

I usually slather on some body wash and then shave.

I use a mach5 or whatever it is. the one with 4 blades. If I were to just use water it would be horrible. I get bumps and rash all over from it.

I used to get razor burn terribly when I was younger ... but it's almost like my skin and hair has gotten used to it? I also used a man's razor, the Gillette 3 blade something or another.

I use a mans razor too Mach5- DH's to be exact =P He shaves maybe 1-2 times a week and uses a new blade each time (because it's so unruly by then). I just use the same blade when he's done because it's still plenty good for my pits and legs. I know it's a risk for skin infection but I'll take my chances since they're about $2 a blade even at Costco.

I use shampoo. Mine isn't too drying for my skin and because I always use a ton more conditioner than I do shampoo, I always seem to have shampoo on hand.

I use the Venus razor's competitor to the intuition-it's super fast since I don't need shave gel or anything, and the first way I've found that doesn't irritate my skin.

Mary Kay's Satin Hands Exfoliator, and a razor. That Satin Hands exfoliator gives me THE closest shave EVER. If you have some, definitely try it!

You're not alone! If I didn't use shaving cream, my legs would look like I had chicken pox. I can't even imagine...the thought makes me cringe...

me too and i can only use Skintimate. everything else i've tried makes me break out.

Me too, except that I use Kiss My Face unscented shaving cream (kind of like a creamy gel) or it's hive city for me.
