K_Swiss

What's the verdict on the beef stew you made last night?

Re: K_Swiss

  • I meant to pop back on here last night and tell you and I forgot! oops! It was AWESOME!! My husband loved it and has requested that I have to make it once a week now. lol. Definately easy. I ended up being short on time, so I cooked mine on high in the crockpot for about 4 1/2 hours. The meat and veggies were very tender.
  • Once a week? lol, sounds awesome!

Be sure to put it on facebook!

I'll ask the same thing as I did in the original post - how watery/liquidy was it?  Did you have to thicken it up at all?

  • At the end you mix together 1/4 cup cornstarch with 1/2 cup water and add it to the stew and it thickens it up quite a bit. The recipe said that if it didn't thicken up right away, to let it cook for an extra 30 minutes or until it does thicken. Mine thickened up right away though, so I didn't have to worry about cooking it a little longer. I think it helped that I cooked it on high instead of low.
