AW: $20 a day is really working well :)
I decided enough was enough on the whole credit card debt deal so I've been putting away $20 every day for the last couple of weeks, starting with the lowest credit card bill and working my way up to the highest.
I'll be paying off the first one today and I'm excited... REALLY excited.
Paying off credit cards feels *almost* as good as maxing them out lol.
Re: AW: $20 a day is really working well :)
Doesnt it feel great!! I paid off one last month and was very happy about that. Too bad I used it in NYC for cab rides - lol. But its all good I will be able to pay that off this month as well!
Way to go AT!!!!!
Thats great! I consolidated some of ours onto one credit card then pay as much as I can on it each month. It's really gone down.
DH actually suggested last night that we use what we get back from our tax return to pay off credit cards!
that's awesome. how exactly are you putting away $20 a week?
i'm trying to come up with new easy ideas to save. i like that i've accumulated $600 in '09 through Wachovia's Way2Save account. that was easy.
i ready somewhere recently to stock away (in a piggy bank or jar) every $5 bill you come across. make it rule that all $5's go in your jar.
That $5 bill idea is really cool, I think I might have to try that too!
I'm actually doing $20 a day (well, there have been a few days where it just wasn't possible) As long as we're actually ABLE to do it, every day $20 goes into savings.
I have all our accounts accessible online... so I just do an online transfer of $20 every day from checking into savings and then I use EVERY SHRED of willpower I have (lol) to NOT take the money out of savings and just let it sit there.
