They wanted us! They really wanted us. Had dates set to film in February....
My vacation nazi boss wouldnt let me take any vacation time (AND I have 2 full paid weeks of vacation time to use) Seriously sucks.
DH was wayyyyyyyy pissed off. WE had asked TLC if we could shoot a day with out me, and the story could be I had an important meeting or something (ive seen it done on HGTV shows before) They didnt go for that idea. So we are out 
They said if another show came up that we would be a fit for, that they would contact us....wah wah

I'll never understand how employers can restrict the use of vacation time when ample notice is given. That blows!

Me neither. WTF. I love it when they have stats about how Americans don't take the vacation time their jobs give them like it's a choice. Hello, their flipping bosses never let them take the time! And then they *** when they have to pay it out. Dumbasses.

Agreed! That's absolute bullsh!t on the part of your boss. What a jerk. I'm really surprised TLC didn't let you guys do a modified filming, like you said coming up with the "important meeting" idea. I've seen that plenty of times on HGTV shows. BOOOOO!
