As super excited as I am about the birth of our new niece and nephew I feel like I have spent a lot of time and money on gifts for them already. But... my MIL decided to throw a double shower for the two babies in a couple of weeks. I have exhausted my usual lists of gifts. Any gifts that were really outstanding for you?
Re: Moms- gift advice needed
We really used the swaddle-me blankets for the first little while - it really helped with the startle reflex when putting L to bed.
We got 2 of these http://www.miracleblanket.com/ and they were fantastic.
Sophie the giraffe is a good one, bumbo chair, lots of waterproof bibs...
Oh - we've found the aquarium mobile from Fisher Price to be a god send, especially with sleep training. http://www.fisher-price.com
And you can never go wrong with Shoppers or ToysRUs GCs!
Congrats auntie!
Bath stuff, wipes and lotion is always good. At 17 months, I still haven't bought baby shampoo.
Also maybe something for the moms?
I second the sleep sheep, it is amazing, we have the protable one, so we could clip in on his carseat.
Receiving blankets, never have enough of these, we used them for everything.
Hooded towels and washclothes, (as a CDing momma, we do not use wipes either, so the really thin wash clothes we use to wipe his little bum)
GC are great
Money towards professional photos.
Congrats Aunite!!
That Miracle Blanket was a lifesaver. It's my go to baby gift.
I am horribly picky about photographers and most of the ones I like are kind of pricey, so I wouldn't have expected someone to spend that much on me.
