New in town, and I need vday recs!
Hey Ladies!
My name is Ashley, and I recently moved to Durham from Arizona. Since I'm new, I was wondering where some good spots for valentines day dinner/activities are. I just graduated from college, so we aren't the wealthiest people in town
But, we still want to have a good time!
Thanks ladies! Can't wait to get to know you!
Ashley

hi!!!! welcome to the board - and to Durham. I live in Durham too. What sort of place are you looking for? Durham has a ton of good places to eat - Six Plates is very popular place and the food is reasonably priced (and amazing!) - I think it would make a great Valentine's Day date

Watt's Grocery is another Durham favorite: http://www.wattsgrocery.com/ They have great fresh food there too!
If you want to get a good idea of what is in durham for restaurants I really suggest looking at Durham's visitor's website which is really great: http://www.durham-nc.com/
or Carpe Durham - a local food blog: http://carpedurham.com/
Hope that helps some!
I just wanted to say Welcome, I live in Raleigh, but work in Durham.
The Melting Pot is nice, but may be booked for that weekend at this point.
Cafe Parizade is good and so is Magnolia Grill
