raynes (or others re: toilets)

do you recommend the toilets you've purchased (if you've installed them?) what make/model? thx!

Re: raynes (or others re: toilets)

  • We just bought 2 American Standard Duel flush 3 and 6 litre...I love them and we got them at Lowes.

It takes getting used to the comfort height but over all it saves soo much water

  • Both of the toilets we bought at still sitting in their boxes in the basement.  Boo.

So, while I can't attest to how much I love how they work, I can say that the one we bought (Kohler Cimarron) is beautiful and promises to flush well.

We opted not to get a dual flush and instead went with one that's got 1000g of flushing power with only 4.8L of water.

     http://www.cuwcc.org/MaPTesting.aspx

That site has a very comprehensive list of toilets and how they rated in a flush test.  Pretty much any toilet you can think of is one there.  Basically what you want to look for is something with a high number in the grams flushed with a low number in the volume.

I'm really hoping to get the toilets in soon!
