  That sounds ADORABLE and delicious- I am sure you have seen those cake pans that make one giant cupcake. I'm afraid I dont know too much about birthday parties for 2 year olds- but if there are going to be older (preschool age or above) children there I could suggest a few games.

  I haven't necessarily done a cupcake theme, but I've done cupcakes for Jackson for his 1st and 2nd birthdays--has been a huge hit, and a fun change to a traditional cake!

  Favor ideas might be color-coordinated M&M's in little baggies, or some other fun candy. I recently saw a really cute idea--rice krispy cupcake lollipops! It might be a fun decor idea, too.

  These are some great ideas! A friend of mine did this and she made cupcakes, gave each kid one and let them frost and decorate them. The kids made a total disater out of the kitchen but they had so much fun and it kept them busy for awhile.

  I don't know how old the kids who will be attending are... but what about making a favor set with a cupcake, tiny containers (like the kind you get salad dressing in from take out food) of 2 colors of frosting, and 2 more tiny containers of 2 kinds of sprinkles? Put it all in a cute bag with a plastic knife and it's an instant make your own cupcake set.  That way it's one favor that little kids up to older cousins, etc. will like.

   Jelly beans, sprinkles, M&Ms, those letters and numbers sold in the cake section at the grocery store.

  She used all sorts of candy! I know some she got from bulk, and you can use food coloring to give kids a few choices of frosting colors. She put the sprinkles, candy in small paper cups and let them have at it!
