My mom just got the photobooks we ordered from SmileBooks - she said that they're gorgeous and she loves them, but.........on the first page, I accidentally wrote our wedding date as 1 May 2009 instead of 1 May 2008.
I know it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but now I'm really annoyed at myself! And I can't believe that both Ben and I missed that on our proofreads...
*headdesk*
Re: CRAP.
Oh no!. For someone else this wouldn't be a big deal but knowing what I know about you Lisa, this is going to irritate the crap out of you forever! Hello sharpie marker?
On a completely unrelated note... if you ever want me to ship something through fed-ex like we were going to do before just let me know.
BAHAHAHA you read my mind! It's white text on a black background so I initially panicked and thought, "It's OK - I'll just get a white gel pen and fix it!" But no, I'm sure that would ruin it even more... *sigh* It would be crazy to change the date and pay for a whole new book because of this one thing, wouldn't it?
And thank you sooooo much! I don't know if I'll have much more to ship over here, but I really can't tell you how much I appreciate that you're willing to help out!

This sounds like a good idea to me! I wouldn't buy a whole new book!
Cerclage placed @ 21w6d due to CI (IC)
Brilliant! It probably would have bugged me so much that I might have sucked it up and bought another one if MH let me! Haha!
OR... you could say it was/is a 1 year anniversary gift to YH if ppl ask!
But I think I still like Lori's idea better.
No, I can't really take out that page without spoiling the layout of the entire first section (this is what I get for doing the layouts so carefully lol).
The label idea is a good one! When I see the book in person, I'll decide if it would make it look better or worse...and see how much it bugs me lol.
Ugh, I know how bad you feel. Really. I was a marketing director for years. Believe me when I tell you I am a perfectionist to the highest power. Everything that I turned out was meticulously inspected - read each character one by one, forward and backward. Yes, if you read backward, the mistakes pop out. Oh, yes, I thought I was beyond making a mistake. I made my daughter a photobook. I read each page letter by letter. It was perfect. Then, the cover. Wow, they had lots of options. I put an awesome photo of my daughter in Hawaii to fill the front cover. For the back, I chose a small photo of her laughing hard while sledding over the snow. Under that little photo, I wrote Happiness in always near. Look at that! You can even put a photo on the spine (binding). I put one of Santa (my H) dashing through the snow. Done!
Did you read that? Happiness in always near. What?
One letter. One letter and the whole thing is wrecked.
I know how that feels. It makes me nuts. Most people will not notice. For anyone who does, just tell them "It seems like yesterday. I feel like we're still on the honeymoon." Blush

That's exactly it! That's the thing that makes me so crazy - I'm the most obsessive proofreader in the world! I will go over something time after time after time, reading it out loud, spelling each word as I go...ugh!
I know probably no one will notice (although my mom picked it up right away lol) - I just can't believe that I made such an insanely obvious error and totally failed to pick up on it!
