So I was just reading your blog...why did you move Brooke to the big girl car seat? I thought she could stay in the infant until 32lbs? Sorry, being nosey since I am looking at convertible seats myself for Ashton.
Re: Lori - RE: carseat
**Butting in**
We're looking at convertible seats too. I'm looking at the Boulevard CS. We did buy a used Britax decathalon car seat from my best friend though as our "second car seat" for DH's car. She had 5 car seats and was using 4 of them, all britax!! Crazy girl! We paid $50 for it and it's only been used for 4 yrs, never in a wreck, etc... she's my best friend so I trust her, otherwise I would've never bought a used one... Anyhow, Bella still fits in her infant seat, it's just SO heavy to carry around and I thought it would be easier for her to be in a convertible rear facing seat. I think we'll wait a month or two to put her in that though and I still want to do more research, $300 is SO much to spend so I want to be sure I pick the right one for us.
Hi Renee!
We switched mainly because it simply "looked" like she was growing out of it (in terms of height) and because I wanted to see if the convertabile carseat would make for better car rides. I have heard of babies hating their infant car seat and loving the bigger one... something about the fact that they sit more upright in the convertabile... plus it's bigger and stuff. For us, it hasn't exactly been the case, but we've only been using it for a few days.
What car seat are you looking at getting?
Oh, and thanks for reading the blog! I'm still new at it so I'm kind of getting the hang of things...

OMG you got the Cowmooflage!!! I'm so J! I was THIS close to buying it when it was $187 on Amazon a few months ago, but I thought it was too soon. Now the price isn't budging... and I check Amazon all the time. Where did you get yours?
Oh well, we have some time since we're using our friend's infant one first.
Melissa--You should have bought it when it was that cheap! I NEVER see Cowmooflauge on sale (and I had to have that print!!). I considered buying a cheaper one, but different print, then buying the cowmooflauge cover for it...
then my mom offered to buy her carseat for Valentine's Day.
I bought it at Baby Emporium. When we went, they had a few Britax Marathon's on sale, but not the Cowmooflauge one. They have the Roundabout at Babies R Us in the print, but not the Marathon.

I google reader subscribe to a blog called babycheapskate.blogspot.com I haven't ever watched the Britax posts, but I know they come up quite a bit. I know what you mean re: the "bigger" sales because I have seen in her sale forecast she will post when britax usually goes on sale. But occasionally they also have things like how to use discount codes, etc. too so something might come up sooner if you start watching now.
